my goal when shooting portraits is to create photographs of people that they love, and to encourage the viewer to embrace their individuality and express themselves.
i like to get to know my subjects and make them feel comfortable before shooting. in the case of street portraits, this may be a short conversation, however, the focus is on them and their personality within the frame.
